Our First Stop on our wine tasting tour in Orlando, FL
Quantum Leap Brewery is Orlando’s first urban winery ever! Started by a food industry executive and an environmental industry pioneer, this winery is the perfect blend of fine wine and sustainability. They source the most sustainably made wines from around the world and ship them to Orlando, FL and store and blend them right at the winery. By storing and blending them right at the winery, they are substantially reducing their carbon footprint. They also use sustainable packaging such as kegs, pouches and boxes making them one of the most environmentally conscious places to drink wine in Orlando. While you sip and get some wine tasting tips, they offer a selection of charcuterie and cheeses to enjoy alongside artfully curated pairings.
Our Second Stop on our wine tasting tour in Orlando, FL
At our second stop on the ultimate wine tasting tour in Orlando is the Eola Wine Company. Situated right by the amazing Lake Eola, Eola Wine Company has so much to offer. Do you like options? Do you want the opportunity to sample multiple wines at once? Look no further than Eola’s signature wine tasting flights. Each wine tasting flight is curated by type and taste. If you are someone who enjoys a light chardonnay, they have the perfect flight for you called “Chardonnay all day”. If you’re a Cabernet drinker their “ I need a Cab” flight features four different Cabernets from the west coast. If you’re more interested in drinking a bottle or wine by the glass they have those options as well. One of the best things about this place is you can have a wide variety of delicious food to pair with the wine tasting. They have everything from cheese and charcuterie options to bruschetta flights, flatbreads, salads and sandwiches. This is the perfect place on our tour ( or on its own) to unwind in Orlando with some friends, food and delicious wine.
Our last stop on our wine tasting tour in Orlando, FL
Our last and Final stop on our wine tasting tour is the Swirlery wine bar in the Sodo district of Orlando. This stop will have a smaller and more intimate ambiance than the prior. Our first stop was a more winery type feel where they process the wine on site in a sustainable and environmentally conscious way. Our second stop had a younger, more hip feel with flights and food in abundance. Our last stop is a smaller, more quaint and intimate wine bar that specializes in curating a personalized experience. The owner is a smart and passionate advanced sommelier who values their impact on the community and therefore wants to create a space to share their love of wine, art and the experience they bring together. This is the perfect place to learn more about the kind of wine and get some wine tasting tips. You can even pick a bottle to take back home or to your accommodations for the evening. If you’re staying at the best boutique hotel in Orlando, the Swirlery is just two miles away!
Ways to navigate the Ultimate Wine tasting tour in Orlando, FL
If you’re staying at the Delaney Hotel, this tour is the perfect local expedition for you and your entourage. This tour can be taken a few different ways depending on what you’re looking for. If you plan to uber everywhere, feel free to visit these places in any order you so choose. If you’re looking to limit your uber rides, here’s what I recommend. Starting at the Delaney Hotel, take an uber to all the way up to Quantum Leap Winery. From there, get in your daily steps by walking to Eola Wine bar. From Eola, you can walk to your next destination, the Swirlery, but it would be easier to take an uber down there. Once you’re leaving the swirlery, the Delaney hotel is a nice walking distance. Walking is one of the best ways to experience the Sodo Orlando district. You can admire street art, people watch and immerse amongst the locals, and it’s always nice to walk off a belly full of wine!
Wine Bars in Orlando, FL that didn’t make the cut
There are so many incredible places to drink wine in Orlando but not all of them made it onto our list of the ultimate wine tasting tour in Orlando. We still have some recommendations in case you find you have some extra time, or want to try somewhere that wasn’t on our list.
The Wine Room on Park Avenue: This didn’t make the cut on our list since it’s a little too far from our peak destinations but if you have a car and the time, we highly recommend going here. With over 150 different wines to sample and a state of the art machine that dispenses them, this place is like an interactive wine museum.
The Vineyard Wine Bar and Healthy Bistro: Unfortunately this didn’t make the cut on our list either due to it being a little too far west, but if you’re in the area and want a high end wine and dine experience then look no further. This place has over 200 different types of wine with options to drink by the bottle or by the glass. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and just cannot wait to help you find your favorite wine. They have a beautiful restaurant serving high end cuisine and they offer a wine cellar chef’s table option. At $150 per person you get 5 beautifully delivered courses each one paired with wine by a professional sommelier. If you’re looking to celebrate or just enjoy a decadent night in a wine cellar, this is the place for you.
